Topgrading for Sales

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

I had the pleasure of receiving Brad Smart and Greg Alexander’s latest book “Topgrading for Sales” the other week and what an excellent book it is.

Those of you who are regular readers of  Sales Talk will already know how strongly I feel about the entire lack of proper professional training within the sales industry.

The sales industry is renowned for having more turn over of staff than any other industry and unfortunately it seems to be widely accepted by the majority of sales companies throughout the world that you have to get through vast amounts of average sales reps to end up with your 20% of top performers.

A theory I have never agreed with!

So it was great to find a book that also doesn’t agree with that theory.

“Topgrading for Sales” is an essential book for top sales managers who want to lower their turn over of staff by hiring correctly in the first place.

It’s straightforward and easy to follow methods for interviewing and pre-screening your future sales team will insure that you only hire the top performers in the first place.

A definite must for any sales managers who want to lower the cost of mis-hiring and vastly improve their yearly sales figures.

For more information on how to obtain this and other must have sales books click on “links” at the bottom of the home page on my main site.

Next week, I’m going to look at some tips for telesales.

See you all then.
